A few area informational tips:
Long Beach -
Long Beach, with a population approaching a half million, is a much larger city than many realize. As with any large city, Long Beach has a great variety of areas, from the very affordable North Long Beach areas, to the higher priced Treasure Island and Naples areas.
Part of Long Beach fronts the Pacific Ocean and offers homes for sale with ocean views as well as numerous ocean view condominiums. The quaint Belmont Shore beach community as well as Belmont Heights offer a cozy village atmosphere and hosts some of the coastlines best "hot spots".
Naples -
Naples Island is renowned for its very unique Venice aura, complete with canals and gondolas. Bay Harbour and Spinaker Bay are also water oriented communities.
Inland Long Beach/Los Altos-
Inland Long Beach offers estate type homes suitable for the most discriminating of tastes in communities such as Park Estates, Bixby Knolls, Los Cerritos, Virginia Country Club, and El Dorado Park Estates. The Los Altos and Lakewood Village areas are also very popular family communities.
-
Belmont Shore -
Belmont Shore is an ocean community that has much to offer. It's character is evident in the lovely shopping district along 2nd street and the vast pier that has been there since 1966. Belmont Shores continues to be in high demand with many large homes and some townhomes as well.
The neighborhood streets are characterized by palm trees and often narrow streets, which is typical of many beach communities. The homes are truly something to marvel as most have been updated from their early 1920's construction. You will find gourmet kitchens, classic wooden floors, and cathedral ceilings in many of the properties. Large, comfortable floor plans are definitely available with homes to fit any size of family.
-
Eastside -
The eastside and circle areas of Long Beach have gained immense popularity. The close proximity to CSULB and Recreation Park Golf Course have made it very desirable. The homes vary from California Bungalow, Spanish Styles, to large homes like the ones featured here.
The neighborhood streets are characterized by lovely trees with larger homes. In fact, many of the homes have zoning that permits a rental in the back, what an added bonus! With a housing shortage at CSULB having a place to rent has allowed many home owners to have their choice of tenants.
-
Wrigley -
The Wrigley area is a great community that has many different style of homes to choose from. You will find lovely traditional homes, to Craftsman, to unique Spanish Style Homes. Many of the homes have large lots or you may even find some fantastic duplexes! The Wrigley area supports a wide range of budgets from first time home buyers on up.
While remaining close to downtown Long Beach and the 405 freeway, the Wrigley area is characterized by quiet neighborhoods. As this community was one of the first in Long Beach you will find some homes that are of excellent size for families (often 1300 sq ft and up!) as well as lots that can sometimes be over 10,000 sq ft!
-
College Park Estates -
The College Park Estates are located down close to Cal State Long Beach. The beautiful location is characterized by a park like setting where the homes are larger and draped with trees. While being close to areas like Los Altos and newer shopping districts the area has grown tremendously in popularity. These homes were built in the 40's, 50's, and 60's which provides some great floor plans in excess of 1500 sq ft.
